Runa Huasi Hotel - Salasaca Ecuador

The town of Salasaca is about half an hour by bus, from Ambato on the way to (Pelileo) Banos. Just ask the driver to leave you in Salasaca at the first gas station and then ask a local to point you towards Hostal Runa Huasi or Senor Alonso Pilla. There is also a cooperative of pickup trucks (taxis) to take you to the hostal in Manzamapamba Chico. The hostal is located next to the viewpoint PUNTA RUMY (sacred stone) and DIABLO CAMA (Devil´s bed), sacred places of the Salasaca Indians. The Salasacas, are descendants of the Incas. Here, the Incas came to ask their gods to improve their musical ability and their voices so that they would be the best messenger among the villages.
